This year, eFau committed three publications to the Proceedings of the ECTI-CON Conference 2010 in Chiang Mai.

A new faculty member of Asian University, Dr. Bernhard Riedl, Head of Information Systems Engineering (ISE) Department, together with Veronika Grascher, a graduate student from University of Klagenfurt, Austria, worked out their publication about ‘Assuring Integrity and Confidentiality for Pseudonymized Health Data’. The aim of their contribution is to provide a secure environment for the patients’ sensitive health data in a life-long health-record.

Not only the ISE, but also the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EE) department, lead by Asst. Prof. Dr. Danai Torrungrueng, contributed in the area of applied electromagnetics. Two papers were presented at the conference: ‘Analysis of Terminated Lossless Planar Multilayer Periodic EBG Structures Using an Equivalent CCITL Model’ and ‘Analysis of Transmission Line Resonators Using Minimax Polynomials’. The first paper was presented by Varittha Sanphuang, our 4th year EE undergraduate student, and the second one by Asst. Prof. Dr. Danai Torrungrueng. In addition, the first mentioned publication of EE will be expanded to be a journal paper for submission in the future.
eFau congratulates its members for their contribution to the international community of
researchers.
